There's something so vibrant about geranium petals when light comes through them. I used to know a woman who grew geraniums at her cottage in massive pots - they bloomed all year. I think about them often, and they were the main inspiration for this subject matter and colour palette.

I imagine this piece as a bright focal point in a main living space or bedroom, but I think she's got enough tender personality to fit anywhere.
