Through creating this collection, I was playing with ways to tell a story of the relationship between the human and the divine, the simultaneous defining and blurring of lines, strength and fluidity. All within the context of my own parenting experience.
Motherhood is all of these things: setting boundaries but feeling guilty, striving for balance and finding none, accepting what we cannot control while being in denial that we sometimes must lack autonomy.
But my cup continues to overflow. I continue to expand.
